For the explorer in you
I am a queer-friendly, down-to-earth therapist who runs a very warm, grounded and affirming psychotherapy practice. The primary aim of the practice is to allow you to experience trust, growth and compassion whilst being supported to explore parts of you that may have been injured, left behind, or feel too hard to look at alone.
I work mostly with people who have experienced trauma. I have particular experience working with young women, LGBTQ+ folks and those who are grieving. I see therapy as a collaborative and creative process that supports connection, repair and expansion.
I originally trained as a person-centred counsellor, which means I focus on developing authentic, caring relationships with my clients. A healthy and trusting therapeutic relationship is widely recognised as the basis for safety, emotional regulation, and healing, and is a predictor of positive outcomes for clients.
I have completed training in Internal Family Systems, Voice Dialogue, Somatic Embodiment & Regulation, and more. These days, I would say I am an integrative, relational therapist - this means I use a range of approaches to help explore what works best, and feels most right, for you and your circumstances.
I see my practice as a soft place to land; flexible, inviting and very human. I invite you to get in touch so that together we can figure out if there’s something here that can help you.
“Working with you over the last two years has absolutely changed the way I see myself, and the way I experience my life.
I’m a lot kinder to myself and a lot more relaxed. I trust myself more. It’s been really great.”
Sarah (long term therapy client).
