For the explorer in you

I am an open-minded, down-to-earth therapist who runs a very warm and grounded private practice. People I support are often exploring issues of identity, trauma, culture, selfhood, connection, trust and love. It is important to me to meet people where they are, using an approach that is inclusive, affirming and welcoming.

I am especially drawn to working with clients who are impacted by trauma, relationship difficulties, professional burnout, heartbreak, and the question of how to hold hope in uncertain times.

As well, I offer specialised support around birth trauma for childbearing women, people & partners. And specialised support around trauma & burnout for midwives and obstetricians.

I originally trained as a person-centred counsellor, which means I focus on developing authentic, caring relationships with my clients. A safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is widely recognised as the number one predictor of positive outcomes for clients.

I have completed training in Internal Family Systems, Voice Dialogue, Somatic Embodiment & Regulation, and more. These days, I would say I am an integrative, relational therapist - this means I use a range of approaches to help explore what works best, and feels most right, for you and your circumstances.

I see my practice as a soft place to land; flexible, inviting and very human. I invite you to get in touch so that together we can figure out if there’s something here that can support you.

“Working with you has absolutely changed the way I see myself, and the way I experience my life.

I’m a lot kinder to myself and a lot more relaxed. I trust myself more. It’s been really great.”

Sarah (long term therapy client).
